History
Shantipuram was setup in year 2003. Firstly, RAF Colony and Homoeopathic Medical College were established. CRPF camp was also established at a certain distance from Shantipuram in Padla.Geography
Shantipuram is located in the southern part of the state, at 25.37°N 81.51°E. It comes under Awadh Region. The Indian GMT longitude (25.15°N 82.58°E) passes near Allahabad. According to a United Nations Development Programme report, city's wind and cyclone zone is "Low damage risk".Climate
Shantipuram has a humid subtropical climate similar to the cities in the plains of North India. The annual mean temperature is 26.1 degree celsius.
