History
Shantipuram was setup in year 2003. Firstly, RAF Colony and Homoeopathic Medical College were established. CRPF camp was also established at a certain distance from Shantipuram in Padla.Geography
Shantipuram is located in the southern part of the state, at 25.37°N 81.51°E. It comes under Awadh Region. The Indian GMT longitude (25.15°N 82.58°E) passes near Allahabad. According to a United Nations Development Programme report, city's wind and cyclone zone is "Low damage risk".Climate
Shantipuram has a humid subtropical climate similar to the cities in the plains of North India. The annual mean temperature is 26.1 degree celsius. You can easily find three wheeled autos for Phaphamau Railway station. Also, if you wish to go Allahabad Junction, then you may get UPSRTC JNNURM buses from the Phaphamau Junction itself. They are an important means of public transport available in the city.
